6. What surprised me (excited me, freaked me out, thrilled me)
7. What I plan to do next week.

1. What did I plan to do?

- Create email template
- Survey questions for parents

2. What did I actually do?

- Crafted survey questions
- Created email template
- Met with Liam: ask for feedback, confirm the team expectations. and split tasks

3. Brief description of the activities (include photos, notes, sketches, working docs and deliverables...whatever you created. Document both the output AND the process.)

- Survey link:

- Email template (Mailchimp):

4. What worked well?

No matter where we are, we can make sure that we can have a talk once a week.

5. What would I do differently next time?

Clarify the need from Liam, or we might influence our work efficiency.

We ended up deciding not using formal email (including the email template and survey questions) to ask candidates to fill out the survey during our call. Because Liam has already talked to them previously, private messages or private email might be better compared to a formal email. I agree, but for the next time, we need clarification the to-do list and make sure everything makes sense for both sides.

6. What surprised me (excited me, freaked me out, thrilled me)

I think it's just a little bit confused.
Since there are a lot of work they have done before for example interviews with teens, I was hoping to get the recordings, but I found out that the team deleted all recordings after the interview. It makes sense that deleting these files can protect our interviewees' privacy, but I don’t have the access to them, which means I don't know how to do a structured research process :(

7. What I plan to do next week.

- Join the Dexcom Facebook group;
- Conduct Interview script (for parents side) before Thursday:
Questions should cover:
current management methods; How parents motivate and interact or communicate with their children; How to make parents feel like they are in control, and comfortable with their kids.
- Mock up interview with David;
- Review interview script and iterate based on feedback.
