7. What I plan to do next week.
1. What did I plan to do?
- Usability tests;
- Narrow down priorities for design iterations.
2. What did I actually do & Brief description of the activities (include photos, notes, sketches, working docs and deliverables...whatever you created. Document both the output AND the process.)
Narrow down priorities for design iterations (check out the link above to see details):
- Redesign onboarding flow includes intro, sign up, connect, set up a reward and tasks. And let the parent and the kid onboard together.

- Decide the reward we want to test for the next round;
- Design a flow to make sure the parent will give the reward on time.
3. What worked well?
Asking people feedback about our concept make us more confident about what we are doing :)
5. What would I do differently next time?
People are getting busy these days as our final is coming. So it’s hard for me to schedule time with other people at school : ( I only made 3 tests work. I forgot to record Jamie’s interview session as she was too busy at that time.
6. What surprised me (excited me, freaked me out, thrilled me)
Money is more attractive than gift cards. I asked 4 people about their thoughts of rewards, 2 of them said they’d love to get money, but also 2 of them brought uvalue of money. Some parents think their children might become greedy for wealth or money when they grow up. Rewards will gradually build someone’s value. (I think this point of view is very interesting)
7. What I plan to do next week.
- Iterate the design based on our usability feedback;
- Listen back to beta test recordings, refer persona dec, and start to build personas.
- Ask Kate for next step guidance.
